International Tourism Awards:

ITA was established to promote world tourism attraction and places, conserve world heritage and tourism centers by nurturing awareness among international community, and improve socio-economic development of regions and countries in the tourism regions. As the sister festival of the prestigious International Film Festivals we aim to help the United Nations promoting the World Tourism Day on 27 September, 2016. (See below)

ITA seeks films relating to tourism, cultural places, heritage centers, ancient and modern kingdoms from amateurs, professionals, government institutions, and private enterprises. Through films, we hope to build a world without boundaries by exploring and understanding various cultures as well as to entertain and inform the international audience. The festival welcomes filmmakers, newcomers, travelers, and amateurs from all over the world to submit their films pertaining tourism, unique properties, and cultural places with an emphasis on interesting journey and unique places.

In honor of World Tourism Day:

World Tourism Day, a global initiative by United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) is being celebrated by Bangladesh Tourism Board (BTB) and this years theme is ‘Tourism for All."

World Tourism Day is celebrated to build awareness among the international community of the importance of tourism and its social, cultural, political and economic value.

The theme ‘Tourism for All’ has been chosen to illustrate the importance of domestic as well and international tourism in the country.

The day will be celebrated by BTB, Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation (BPC) and different tour operators with day long arrangements of various programs, including a colourful parade inaugurated by Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Rashed Khan Menon.

President Abdul Hamid urged the authorities concerned to ensure awareness building for a sustainable tourism.

The day aims to highlight tourisms’ potential in helping reach the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

President Abdul Hamid said the government is trying to highlight the expansive natural beauty of Bangladesh to foreign tourists to help build a thriving industry around it.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in her message said the Awami League led government has taken diverse initiatives for the development of the tourism industry as well as offer hospitality services at an affordable rate.

The day will be celebrated with many events including folk music, discounts on food and accommodations at hotels and motels and seminars across the country.

In addition, special supplements would be published in the national dailies while special programmes and documentaries will be on aired on Television and Radio.

KRUSING AMERICA Official Selection Best Inspirational Film at Festigious International Film Festival!


Festigious International Film Festival showcases quality films online to an audience of film fans and filmmakers. Accepting films in the following genres: Animation, Documentary and Narrative.

KRUSING AMERICA directed by Linda Kruse is nominated for Best Inspirational Film.

The online competition for the Audience Award begins November 1- 7, 2016.
