ABOUT Veterans, Soldiers & Sailors CINEMA FESTIVAL
We also welcome Filmmakers who are not Veterans or military connected who wish to participate in our event as well.
The V.S.S staff is combined of Veterans and currently enlisted soldiers who share the passion for Filmmaking and the Entertainment arts. We know how challenging it can be for us military folk to break into the film industry so we decided to create our own film industry starting with the V.S.S Cinema Festival, we also have plans to launch into V.S.S film production and V.S.S film distribution with Big House LA. We encourage filmmakers with the desire to progress in this industry to join us in making these endeavors possible.
In regards to the V.S.S Cinema Festival, submitted films for this showcase do not have to be "military related films" we simply are a platform for military filmmakers to showcase their work. We are looking forward to having an exciting event filled with all day screenings, Q & A sessions with filmmakers and guest, honorary speakers and also an opportunity for attendees to network and mingle.
As one of the few existing Military related film festivals, we take pride in our partnership with the National Veterans Foundation and the Big House Los Angeles Entertainment Festival.
Films submitted to the V.S.S '15 will also have the opportunity to compete in the Independent Film Playoff and a chance to win the Big House Independent Film Championship.
Let's make it happen Soldiers & Sailors! Bring it home for us!
