$500 - $15 DONATION TO IMMEDIATE EMERGENCY HELP FOR NEPALI WOMEN AND THEIR FAMILIES

Because they are a fully volunteer-run organization 100% of your donation will go directly to the Women's Foundation of Nepal to assist with their relief efforts.

Different levels of donations can provide a woman and her family with a complete emergency assistance package containing clean water, temporary shelter, blankets, food and medical supplies.

THE GLOBAL WOMEN'S PROJECT

The Global Women's Project (GWP) is an Australian-based not-for-profit organisation empowering women in developing communities through vocational education, economic development and social enterprise opportunities.

Whilst there are many organisations focusing on educating girls, the Global Women's Project wants to make sure that mothers and women are not overlooked. Therefore, our programs are aimed at adult women who are often illiterate, based in rural areas and are some of the most vulnerable and at-risk populations.

Women's empowerment, education and economic development are the closest things we have to a silver bullet solution to poverty, discrimination and inequality.

WHAT WE DO

Primarily, we provide our two international grassroots partners, Stung Treng Women's Development Centre in Cambodia, and the Women’s Foundation of Nepal, with both technical and financial assistance. We also engage the global community in awareness-raising activites regarding gender, development, impact investing and social enterprise.

Women in the programs that we develop and support alongside our partners are taught practical skills that they can use to start their own businesses and to earn an income. We also provide micro-financing and establish social enterprises to ensure sustainable business and income generation for women.

Empowering women in this way provides immediate economic, social and other benefits to their families and their communities, and acts as a circuit breaker for cycles of poverty.
