Mary Austin (1868- 1934) American novelist and essayist who wrote about socialism, women’s rights, and a variety of other topics including her own deeply personal and sustaining form of mysticism. Her best known work, A Woman of Genius (1912) is one of over 25 books she wrote in 56 years lifetime.
